Dr. Ferenc Bakó: Network Theory and Economic Networks
By applying network theory, we can understand and model the complex structures and dynamics of economic systems. My research primarily focuses on the applicability of networks in analytical procedures, with a special emphasis on the visibility graph method. The analysis of economic networks allows us to identify connections between market participants, revealing hidden patterns in economic behavior and decision-making. Using these methods, we can examine the integration of financial markets and its impact on the global economy. My research pays particular attention to the stability and vulnerability of networks, especially concerning financial crises. Analyzing the topology of economic networks enables a better understanding of systemic risks and innovation processes.
Sustainable Development and Climate Anxiety My research is centered on achieving sustainable development by examining the possibilities of balancing environmental protection and economic growth. Climate anxiety is an increasingly common phenomenon in society, making it important to understand how it affects people's mental health and lifestyles. To develop strategies for achieving sustainable development, I employ an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating tools from economics, sociology, and environmental science. My research emphasizes exploring the economic and social aspects of combating climate change, including the role of renewable energy sources. Additionally, I investigate how climate anxiety can motivate the adoption of more sustainable lifestyles and community actions aimed at environmental protection.

Éva Heimné Rácz: My research area focuses on Korean-Hungarian foreign economic relations, with particular regard to foreign direct investments, trade and political relations.
Dr. Gabriella Imre: Sustainable, circular economic models. In the circular business modells resources and products are recycled, reducing and ultimately eliminating the generation of waste. Although the transition from the current linear economic model to a circular approach can have many advantages for business actors (new profit opportunities, decreasing raw material costs), only limited progress has been made in the field of the implementation. The research focuses on the implementation possibilities and experiences of circular business models. We present the concept of the circular economy and examining the prevalence of the circular economic solutions, the obstacles and incentives of the transition in different industries.

Dr. Krisztián Koppány: input-output modelling of regional, national and global value chains (GVCs): volume and price models, economic and environmental impact analysis, price transmissions and inflation, structural decompositions, hypothetical extractions, resilience and exposures, supporting regional and macroeconomic policy decisions
Szilvia Módosné: This year, the topic of my articles is still diverse, but I will focus on one direction after sorting out the things left behind. Long-term planned research area: "New challenges of the labor market" This includes foreign workers working in Hungary and Hungarians working abroad (new project, IN THE NETWORK). I also deal with the possible positive and negative benefits of artificial intelligence and robotization. The topic of creative entrepreneurship and independence instead of being an employee is also on the agenda. I also examine the retaining power of jobs.
Dr. Adrienn Reisinger: Business society relations, corporate social responsibility (CSR), social participation, sustainability, corporate value creation. SMEs are in the focus.
Dr. Sándor Remsei: My research focuses on two main topics. The first topic is the issue of the production and use of biofuels, which is closely linked to mobility and sustainability. The second topic is the changes on the supply and demand side of the labour market, which I examine at both micro and macro levels.
