NITIM Reminder: Call for Participation (new deadlines)
Networks, Information, Technology and Innovation Management (NITIM)
International Graduate Summer School
Call for Participation
Dear Faculty Members,
the NITIM 2023 Summer School (June 15th – 17th, 2023) will take place in Edinburgh, UK, just before the 29th IEEE ICE/ITMC Conference.
As every year, the NITIM School aims to facilitate the development of doctoral research in the interdisciplinary field of Networks, Information, Technology and Innovation Management. We look forward to bringing together PhD candidates and faculty members in a focused, in-depth, and constructive discussion of the candidates' research work.
We would highly appreciate your involvement and support in two things:
1) We invite you to forward this invitation to your PhD candidates and encourage them to submit their proposals for evaluation.
Admittance to the school will be based on the review of the extended abstracts which should be submitted via the online form to be found here. The deadline for submission of the Extended Abstract is March 31st (midnight CET). Notification of acceptance of the school will be sent by April 7th in order to facilitate the early booking of flights and accommodation. The full proposal (or paper), which will form the basis of the discussion and feedback at the Summer School, is due by May 15th. For candidates who are in the first year of their PhD program, we look forward to receiving a research proposal. For candidates in their late stage of their Ph.D., we encourage to submit a relevant piece for the research (a paper, an overview, or a chapter of the PhD thesis).
2) We would like to ask you to indicate your interest in participating as a faculty member in Edinburgh, UK, this year. It is important for us to have a preliminary estimation of how many participants we might have for this edition of the summer school. Therefore, if you are considering participating, please let us know by responding to this email.
The participation fee (for candidates as well as for faculty members) for the Summer School will be cost-based and is partly sponsored. It is expected to be less than 400 EUR and includes consortium, lunches and dinners. Please consult the website for updated information on the fees, also for the combined fee including the 29th IEEE ICE/ITMC Conference (please note that you would also need to meet the Conference's submission requirements and key dates).
